This week there will be no spelling words, due to Field day and Carnival.
Instead we are reading different versions of the 3 little pigs and comparing and contrasting the differences in the stories.
For Homework students have written in their planner.
They will be receiving a Math Sheet every night (except Field Day)
Each Day I have also given them something to work on for their Young Author's Book.
I would like all of the students to participate.
Field Day Thursday--all day (unless it rains) send in sunscreen and a change of dry clothes just in case.
Carnival Friday -from 1-2
Monday--Think of an idea and start your writing
Tuesday--Write more of your story.
Wednesday--Keep writing, don't forget to make a Cover and a Title page. All books have both, so ours will too!
Thursday--Read it over with mom and dad. Edit any mistakes,
May 6-10
Monday--Re-read your story. Does it make sense? Do you have a setting? problem? solution?
If you are telling a true Story--Did you tell it in order?
Are you writing a research paper? Did you write all the facts?
Tuesday---Illustrate your pages
Wednesday--Illustrate your pages
Thursday--Write your About the Author page (That's about you--How old are you? What school do you go to? Who is your teacher? Do you have a hobby you want to share?)
May 13---
Monday--Bind your book--You can use anything you want. Staples, string, ribbons, or glue!
Tuesday--Bring your original Book to school!
May 17th Early Dismissal!!
May 24th--10:00 a.m. Goin' Buggy
